“When I started my internship at Fame Intelligence, I already felt comfortable with the basics from the strong foundation I received in my SAP Business One courses. I gained real experience with client support tickets, FameAir training, and go-live documentation for clients. I’m looking forward to my full time position with Fame Intelligence offered to me upon graduation. I’ll always be grateful for the SAP Business One program and for Professor Markley and everything he’s done to support me.”

The Impact of Internships

The Impact of Undergraduate Internships on Postgraduate Outcomes for the Liberal Arts

  • Students who reported having an internship had a first-position salary that was anywhere from $2,977-$20,000/year higher than those who did not.
  • On average, students who had a paid internship found a job within 3 months of graduation. Simply having more internships is associated with higher relative odds of being employed or in graduate school six months after graduation compared to still seeking employment.
  • Students venturing into the career center for internship assistance are 1.35 times more likely to get a paid internship than an unpaid internship.
  • According to the results of the NACE 2022 Student Survey for four-year college students, paid interns averaged 1.61 job offers, compared to 0.94 offers for unpaid interns, and 0.77 offers for non-interns.
