LATROBE, PA – Performances by Broadway actors Christy Altomare and Adam Jacobs will highlight the annual Saint Vincent Summer Theatre (SVST) Gala at 6 p.m. April 25 at the Fred M. Rogers Center.
Celebrating the 55th season of the SVST, the Gala will include a sit-down dinner, a silent auction and the announcement of the 2025 SVST shows. Accompanied by the Eric Barchiesi Trio, Altomare and Jacobs will perform songs from their most recent Broadway productions and other classic selections.
“I am excited to have two top-notch Broadway performers here to support our annual Saint Vincent Summer Theatre Gala,” said Gregg Brandt, professor of music and performing arts and producing artistic director of the SVST. “They are amazingly talented and kind and simply love the performing arts. I know they will leave our guests and patrons speechless—you don't want to miss these performances.”
A native of Bucks County, Altomare originated the title role of Anya in the Broadway production of “Anastasia,” for which she received the Theatre World Award and was nominated for an Outer Critics Award and a Drama Desk Award for lead actress in a musical. Altomare played Wendla in the first national tour of “Spring Awakening,” played Sue Snell in the off-Broadway revival of “Carrie” and made her Broadway debut in 2012 as Sophie in “Mamma Mia!”
Jacobs originated the role of Aladdin in Disney’s “Aladdin” on Broadway in 2014 and played the role in the show’s North American tour. His breakout came in 2004, when Jacobs landed the role of Marius in the national tour of “Les Misérables.” He also starred on Broadway as Sky in “Mama Mia!” and Simba in “The Lion King.”
