Brandt and Halcyon Voices Featured in SVC Concert Series

LATROBE, PA – The Saint Vincent College Concert Series will continue in October with performances by Gregg Brandt and Halcyon Voices.

Brandt, assistant professor of theatre and producing artistic director of the Saint Vincent Summer Theatre, will perform at noon Oct. 4 at the Verostko Center for the Arts in the Dale P. Latimer Library at Saint Vincent College.

Brandt will perform songs from his Broadway repertoire, classical music and a duet with Anthony Massetto, C’19. They will be accompanied by J. Christopher Pardini on piano.

Halcyon Voices, a Pittsburgh-based women’s music ensemble, will perform at 7 p.m. Oct. 25 in the Saint Vincent Basilica crypt. The trio—which consists of sopranos Grettelyn Darkey, C’10, and Sarah Richards and mezzo-soprano Amanda Rodriguez—performs repertoire from the Medieval, Renaissance and Baroque eras.

The Concert Series also will feature “The Complete Two- and Three-Part Inventions of J.S. Bach” by J. Christopher Pardini at 7 p.m. Nov. 15 in the Saint Vincent Basilica crypt and a student piano recital at noon Dec. 6 at the Verostko Center.
